HOMEM-AGEM | Coletivo Bestiário
"We are walking a path of progressive deterioration. Thus, it is urgent to catch up with the pace of time and anchor our roots, and yet we constantly destroy those who created us. It is in this tension between what was and what could be that we are left to act in a trembling present. To pay tribute always implies an action. But why this primitive drive to pay homage to something or someone? Perhaps, in doing so, we feel less loneliness. Perhaps, in doing so, we manage to feel closer to our origins. Or perhaps it is none of this! Time is running out." — Teresa Vaz

HOMO SACER | Coletivo Bestiário
"Homo Sacer has its origins in Roman law, used to designate someone who never had or lost their identity and, in doing so, surrenders their fatum to the Gods: an Oedipus who, after gouging out his eyes, wanders at the mercy of anyone; a Roman soldier who, in battle, in the pursuit of victory, hurls himself into enemy territory because the probability of returning is negligible; the Calon, who during the transition to industrial society were listed and persecuted with the epithet of having an aversion to work. These are the faces of oblivion that melt away. They are spectral bodies, the potential of those who are present yet invisible."
